Mark Wahlberg made a lot of money for his films this year, but Forbes believes it was not worth paying the salaries.
Forbes announced on Wednesday that Wahlberg was the most paid actor in 2017 after a series of box office failures.
Wahlberg earned $68 million before taxes this year. The rating was based on the films he made before June 2017, which did not include the recent releases of the 46-year-old actor, such as “Transformers: The Last Knight” and “Daddy’s Home 2”.
For every $1 he was paid for three major movies, the movies earned back $4.40.
Christian Bale was named the second actor with more overpayment this year due to the poor performance of “The Promise.” His films earned $6.70 back for every dollar they paid for him.
